Haitian Dollar Inc. Issues Update to Prior Investors and Clarifies Regulatory Status

The company confirmed that it is not currently offering or soliciting securities of any kind. • Regulatory Positioning: HTD is now structured as a redemption receipt rather than a stablecoin. The distinction provides regulatory clarity. HTD is not pegged to the U.S. Dollar; it floats in dollar terms with the Haitian Gourde, while the 1 HTD = 5 HTG convention remains fixed.
• Intellectual Property: "Haitian Dollar" is registered as a federal trademark with the United States Patent and Trademark Office under Registration No. 6,267,276 (Serial 88319997).
• Web Presence: The company has rebuilt its public presence at haitiandollar.com, including White Paper v2.0, a live market rate index, and updated compliance disclosures.

Unchanged Thesis

Despite the architecture changes, the company stated that the core thesis of the project remains intact. The Haitian Dollar is an informal unit of account that Haitians have used for over a century to quote prices, negotiate wages, and settle trades. It has no physical banknote and no central authority backing it. HTD formalizes that convention on modern cryptographic rails.
