HTD is a digital token issued by Haitian Dollar Inc. It is not a stablecoin, not a government currency, and not insured or guaranteed by any governmental authority, central bank, or deposit insurance scheme. The value of HTD, if any, may fluctuate and may be zero.
Regulatory Risk
The legal and regulatory treatment of digital assets continues to evolve in the United States and internationally. Future laws, regulations, or enforcement actions could adversely affect the legality, transferability, or value of HTD. Haitian Dollar Inc makes no representation that HTD will be legal or permissible in any particular jurisdiction.
Operational Risk
The functionality of HTD depends on the continued availability of third-party infrastructure, including public blockchain networks and mobile payment providers. Any interruption, failure, or delay in these services may temporarily or permanently prevent the redemption, transfer, or use of HTD.
Redemption Risk
While HTD is designed to be redeemable for Haitian Gourdes at the convention rate of 1 HTD to 5 HTG, redemption is subject to the availability of liquidity, the operational status of our partner network, and compliance with applicable law. Redemption may be temporarily paused if reserve levels fall below operational thresholds.
Liquidity Risk
There is no guarantee that a secondary market for HTD will exist or continue to exist. If a secondary market exists, it may be illiquid, and the price at which HTD trades may be materially different from the convention rate.
Technology Risk
Blockchain-based systems and cryptographic tokens are subject to technological risks including, but not limited to, bugs, exploits, consensus failures, and network congestion. Haitian Dollar Inc does not control the underlying blockchain network and cannot guarantee its ongoing security or availability.

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Haitian Dollar Inc website, mobile applications, or token services (collectively, the "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age and legally competent to enter into binding contracts in your jurisdiction. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Services complies with all applicable laws.
3. Description of Services
The Services allow users to acquire, hold, transfer, and redeem HTD tokens. HTD is a digital redemption receipt for Haitian Gourde liquidity held in reserve by Haitian Dollar Inc or its designated partners.
The Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Haitian Dollar Inc makes no warranty that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
4. No Custody of Private Keys
Where the Services involve blockchain-based tokens, you may be solely responsible for maintaining the security of your wallet credentials, private keys, or account passwords. Haitian Dollar Inc does not custody your private keys unless expressly stated in a separate written agreement.
5. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the Services for any unlawful purpose, including money laundering, terrorist financing, or sanctions evasion;
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Services or interfere with their operation;
- Use the Services in any manner that could damage, disable, or impair the Services;
- Circumvent any geographic or compliance restrictions placed on the Services.
6. Compliance and Identity Verification
Haitian Dollar Inc may be required by law to verify your identity and the source of your funds. You agree to cooperate with reasonable requests for identity verification, documentation, and information.
7. Fees
Certain transactions may be subject to fees, including a 3% redemption fee for converting HTD to Haitian Gourdes through the MonCash bridge, and a 0.5% merchant processing fee on commercial transactions. Fees are disclosed in the app and may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the Services after a fee change constitutes acceptance of the new fee.
8. Suspension and Termination
Haitian Dollar Inc reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including suspected fraud, violation of these Terms, or compliance requirements.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Haitian Dollar Inc shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the Services, including but not limited to loss of tokens, loss of data, or loss of profits.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Maryland.
11. Amendments
Haitian Dollar Inc may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Services after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
